About Us

Tino was introduced to the 4×4 industry in 2001 by Jacques van Onselen shortly after returning from the USA. He began his journey under the leadership of the well-known Brakhah owner Hein Engelbrecht and Derick Lategan at the African Outdoor Group, located at the Gerotec car testing facility near Hartebeespoort Dam.

After spending three years as the manager of the accessories department, a role that Tino truly enjoyed, Derick and Hein offered him the chance to branch out on his own as the focus of AOG shifted more towards corporate events and product launches.

At just 20 years old, Tino founded G4 Outdoor in 2004, starting with just one Land Rover dealership—Land Rover Midrand.

Marius Prinsloo, the dealer principal at Land Rover Midrand, placed his trust in Tino and offered invaluable support, allowing G4 Outdoor to grow from there.

Tino’s core philosophy, both then and now, has been to conduct business honestly and professionally while providing personal, straightforward advice on products.
